INITIATORS OF MODERN THEORIES OF HYPNOSIS .



François Joseph Noizet, ( 1792 – 1885 ),  was a general and a French man of letters, known for his work on animal magnetism . Known to occultists as the most immediate disciple of the Abbé Faria, himself a pupil of Franz Anton Mesmer . He was also a student of Andre-Marie Ampere . He was a close friend to a young hypnotist, Dr. Alexandre Bertrand (1) whose sleepwalking Treaty (1823) is the first systematic scientific study of phenomena magnetic .
